I love close up shots of things like ivy and brickwork. When you look at the world in a different way everyday things can become really interesting.
Lost gloves have been popular on social media in the past, but I’m always intrigued by anything lost. It makes me wonder what the story is, so I always make sure I take a snap!
If you live in a city, it’s easy to think you don’t have much nature around you. But when you stop to look, there are lovely things everywhere. Greenery grows out of every crack in the pavement – you just have to take the time to notice it.
Everyone loves a good door on Instagram (why are doors cute? Isn’t that weird?), but some other features don’t get much of a look in. Windows or other parts of buildings can also make for great snaps.
I love a nice long caption on Instagram – which is strange, since most social media is all about being short. Take a snap of what you’re up to and use it as a chance to write a little update. Instagram works really well as a mini-blog.
This is quite a popular one on Instagram, but I really like ‘from where I stand’ pictures – which usually show your shoes and feet in whatever environment you’re in. Don’t forget the #FWIS hashtag.

Similar to the idea of lost things, found things are great to take photos of.This one is especially good when you’re out in nature – especially on a beach.
Whether it’s your nails, a piece of jewellery or a fancy neckline, put a different spin on outfit posts. The devil’s in the detail.
This one ties in with the idea of microblogging – share the things you just can’t live without. Whether it’s your current handbag essentials, the make-up products you can’t stop wearing or the snacks you can’t stop eating. I want to see ’em!
