Blogger picnic…in the garden

Last weekend my new blogging besties Sarah Ann, Gwennan, Hannah and Mel hosted the wonderful Blogger Picnic in the Park.

Although me and Effi were in on the act, neither of us could make it on the day. The lovely Sarah Ann was generous enough to send me a huge box of swag, so I decided to stage my very own Blogger Picnic in the Garden with my favourite freebies.

Unfortunately my garden is not as Instagrammable as Hyde Park, and I didn’t have any other bloggers to keep me company (more like the neighbours giving me odd looks from their windows). But I still had me a blog worthy little picnic.

I set the scene with the frankly beautiful pineapple garland from Talking Tables. I really wish I’d known about this brand before my friend’s hen do, because they do the most amazing party decorations. I’m trying to find an excuse to throw a bash just so I can get this garland out again…

I kept my bum dry with my favourite thing from the picnic, a fab towel/blanket/throw from Hammam Havlu. These are intended as towels but they’re so pretty, they make gorgeous picnic blankets or throws too. Hammam Havlu is another brand which is new to me, but this is such an ingenious product. I’m sure I’ll be getting a couple more or buying them as gifts at some point.

Of course no picnic is complete without the food, so I had a little pre-packed feast thanks to Propercorn, Lily O’Briens and Graze (can you tell I couldn’t be bothered to make anything?), and washed it all down with some Robinsons squash.

This really made me want to have more picnics, but I’m fast running out of summer!

Have you ever had a garden picnic?

What a fabulous idea! I love a garden picnic, me and my little girl often have them during summer but like you say, theres not much of that left. The pineappe garland is adorable – I wish I’d have known about Talking Tables a few weeks ago because my daughter turned 3, and their decorations are all super cute! I’ll have to stock up for next year! Hope you enjoyed your picnic lovely xx

Aww this is so sweet! It’s such a shame you couldn’t make it – we would have loved to meet you! Reading this actually made me re-live this picnic all over again! I agree, I wish I knew about Talking Tables before when hosting our Afternoon Tea for the family! Thanks for sharing!
