Five favourites

This was supposed to be five favourites from August, but since we’re halfway through September now (how?!), let’s just call it five favourites. Here’s what I’ve been enjoying…

Learning Spanish

I’ve been meaning to do a full post on this, but I’ve been loving getting back into Spanish. I studied it at school and now I’m having lessons again. A great excuse for lots of holidays, right? And a great excuse to post pictures of gorgeous blue skies and beautiful clear seas, like this one from our holiday to Mallorca a couple of years ago.

East Midlands Meet Up

I had such a great time at my first blogging meet up last month. It was lovely to meet so many other bloggers and I learnt loads from chatting to them. I can’t wait for my next event!

Alvaro Soler

Another Spanish favourite, this guy is basically the Spanish Ed Sheeran. I’ve been listening to him non-stop in the hope some of it will absorb into my brain! And I don’t even like Ed Sheeran…

Mason jar from Matalan

This was without a doubt my favourite thing from the East Midlands Meet Up goodie bag. As you know I love a quote, and this is just so cute! It takes me back to being a kid again and drinking through fun straws. Love.

The Olympics

I have to say I’d kind of forgotten about the Olympics until I read this post from Gwennan – which is surprising because I watched ALL OF IT. I’m that person who watches every sport and becomes its new biggest fan. I’m not at all sporty myself but I find the whole thing completely inspiring. I am incapable of watching a GB medal ceremony without bawling. Finishing above China was such an incredible achievement!

I really want to get into the Paralympics but I must admit, I’m feeling a bit of sport fatigue now!

What are you currently enjoying?

I loved every minute of the Olympics which surprised me because I started watching in the firm belief that it wasn’t going to be as good as London 2012. I was completely addicted to the cycling and gymnastics 🙂
