Nottingham has so much to offer at the moment.
From world-exclusive exhibitions to a good old fashioned scone and a cuppa, here’s what I’ve been up to in the city.
Afternoon tea at The Larder on Goosegate
I love afternoon tea. It’s such a nice way to while away a couple of hours, relax and catch up over delicious cakes. What could be better than that?
I thought The Larder’s offering was really good value at £15.50. It’s a traditional afternoon tea with sandwiches, scones and a selection of cakes. There was also a white chocolate truffle, which was particularly delicious. The tea selection was excellent and the ones I tried were super tasty.
Dinosaurs of China at Wollaton Hall
There’s been a buzz about town for this world exclusive exhibition, which is in Nottingham until October.
It’s not the largest exhibition but you will definitely learn something. It focuses a lot on feathers, and how we’re now discovering that a lot of what we thought we knew about dinosaurs could be wrong.
It’s not a great exhibition for young children, because although there are some big impressive bones on show, lots of it is about detail. But older kids who are into dinosaurs and adults will find it fascinating I’m sure.
Brand new Beauty Temple salon in Mapperley
I’ve been going to Beauty Temple for years, so imagine my excitement when I heard they were opening a salon on my side of town.
I was lucky enough to attend their bloggers’ opening event which was loads of fun.
I got a lovely mani and pedi and even got Ibiza-ready with some glitter face art. It’s a pity I just went home and watched Netflix afterwards!
The salon is beautiful and it’s great to have a choice of fantastic treatments locally. A big thumbs up from me!
Oh the afternoon tea looks absolutely delicious! 💓

Ah definitely going to that exhibition when I’m back in Nottingham! “its focuses on feathers” I love that, but I can see why! Lovely to see more things to do near home ❤
