A bad date lives long in the memory.
Although it’s mostly about the company, picking the wrong activity or place to go definitely doesn’t help.
Here’s where I head for a bit of romance in Nottingham.
Wollaton Hall and Park
In my family we take everyone to Wollaton Park. It was even my parents’ first date!
It’s free except for a couple of quid parking and you can’t beat a little walk around there.
I don’t usually bother going into the Hall itself, although they do have a world exclusive dinosaur exhibition there at the moment.
Annie’s Burger Shack
Annie’s is a great place for a date because the epic menu options could keep you talking for a good half an hour. What better ice breaker could you ask for than amazing burger creations?
There’s a bar downstairs which has games and table football, so you can pack plenty of fun into your evening at Annie’s.
Broadway
To my mind there’s no cooler date destination in Nottingham.
Independent cinema Broadway is one of my absolute favourite places in the city.
Pick a quirky film to impress your date, and you’ll have plenty to talk about as you grab a tasty homemade meal in the cafe afterwards.
If you’re feeling inspired and all you need now is a date, you might be interested in the following websites. Good luck!
