Photo diary: a day in the Peak District

I’m so lucky to have the Peak District on my doorstep.

It’s not really something I make the most of, but after a recent trip I’ve promised myself to visit more.

This time we parked up in Milldale and had a wander through some gorgeous scenery. Not to mention all the Instagram worthy cottages!

No walk is complete without a stop-off at a good pub, so we popped over to the Devonshire Arms in Hartington.

It was pub food as pub food should be – simple, homemade and tasty. The Bakewell tart was to die for! Although it is a crime to serve a bad Bakewell tart in Derbyshire…

Have you been to the Peak District? Where’s your favourite spot?
