What is it about the start of autumn?
It happens with spring too, but autumn always has me feeling particularly inspired to update my wardrobe.
I had high hopes for this Asos buy in the quest for that illusive ‘transitional piece’, and I was not disappointed.
It’s a really flattering shift shape, and since this version is petite it’s just the right length. It’s a lovely lightweight knit but is also nice and warm.
I get cold easily and never go bare-legged in autumn, but I really wanted to try it with this dress. On a warmer autumn day it wasn’t too cold at all – you’re so cosy on top it’s welcome to have a bit of breeze!
I love that this dress will cover autumn, winter and spring by adding and removing tights, boots and jackets. Can you tell I’m planning on getting my money’s worth?
This time I embraced the 60s vibe and wore it with my Tatty Devine speech bubble necklace. The block heels are super comfy and were from River Island last year.
Sadly for this post this dress is currently sold out in nearly every size, but Asos have literally hundreds of jumper dresses.
As a big knitwear person I can’t believe how long it has taken me to try out a jumper dress – I’m now a fan for life!
Photo credits to my Dad…who needs Mario Testino eh?
The dress is so cute!! And the background is gorgeous ❤ Is it a castle?

Isn’t it? The photos are at Newstead Abbey but the building in the background is the stable block I think…it’s pretty fancy though!

Oh my goodness, I absolutely adore this jumper dress! The colours work so well together! It’s a shame that it’s now out of stock but I’ll definitely be checking ASOS for more of their jumper dresses as I’m loving them at the moment! Xx
