Cocktail bar Coco Tang has long been one of my favourite hang outs. So when I heard they were opening a Vietnamese cafe, I was pretty excited!
It’s a really nice space hidden away up an alleyway (opposite Baresca, another favourite!). It has the glamour of Coco Tang with a bit of an industrial vibe mixed in.
We went for the bun cha – essentially a bowl of noodles and veg with three pork patties on top.
The pork was really tasty, and while the noodles were fairly plain they come served with a choice of hoisin, chilli or fish sauce which livened things up nicely.
We also had a traditional vietnamese slow drip coffee, which was served on ice with condensed milk. It was a bit of a small glass, but it was delicious.
Cafe Coco Tang also serves a range of homemade cakes, which looked incredibly tempting. I will definitely be back to try some!
I’m glad Nottingham has another lunch option, and it’s nice to have something different. I can’t wait to try more from the Cafe Coco Tang menu.
